AGRHYMET is leading an online regional training workshop with ECOWAS Commission and in collaboration with the World Bank from 2^nd – 5^th March. The workshop will be attended by experts in flood risk forecasting, who will be trained in operational flood forecasting systems, including the FANFAR flood forecasting and alert system. We are encouraged to see how this activity – which goes beyond the FANFAR project – builds further on the project achievements. Several members of the FANFAR consortium contribute, including AGRHYMET and SMHI.

AGRHYMET organise un atelier de formation régional en ligne avec la Commission de la CEDEAO et en collaboration avec la Banque mondiale du 2 au 5 mars. L’atelier est destinée aux experts des structures étatiques des pays de la CEDEAO en charge des prévisions des risques d’inondation, qui seront formés aux systèmes opérationnels de prévision des crues, y compris le système de prévision et d’alerte des crues FANFAR. Nous sommes encouragés de voir comment cette activité – qui va au-delà du projet FANFAR – s’appuie sur les réalisations du projet. Plusieurs membres du consortium FANFAR y contribuent, dont AGRHYMET et SMHI.
